Solarpark Oberzeiring

Solarpark Oberzeiring; 2 MWp

The largest and highest-altitude photovoltaics power plant in Austria, with an installed power output of 2 MW, was constructed at the windpark site of the Oberzeiring Tauernwindpark in 2011. This impressive example of renewable energy was built in harmony with nature on a 5-hectare site at around 1,900 m above sea level.
The project was implemented in a mere 3 months and has been feeding solar power into the grid since the middle of October 2011.
A PV power plant of this size and at this altitude as the Tauernwindpark represents an impressive pilot project.
The intended operation lifecycle amounts to at least 20 years.
